Future Friday: 05/24/24

It's Friday and you're most likely gearing up for the weekend and leaving the week behind you.

Good.

The past is behind you, and the future is bright. It’s almost time to begin your mental reset and maybe enjoy yourself for the first time this week.

This is also the perfect day to introduce Future Fridays. In this weekly newsletter, I’ll cover three things in bite-sized pieces geared around the future.

  • A tip for planning your future, whether that’s one you can implement tomorrow or thirty years from now.

  • A short look into a fun, new, innovative company.

  • A quick review of a trending industry or a company looking good for the future.

Any Client is Better Than No Client, or Is It?

Depending on where you are in your journey your business or services could be accepting anyone and everyone. Getting started, this might be ideal but over time this can slow your growth.

As you progress, focus on a specific audience. It can help you avoid feeling stuck, just searching for anyone to say yes.

The big reason niching down helps is that, as you focus on an ideal market, you get better at serving their needs. As long as the market is big enough, you can keep finding new clients.

This also allows you to say no to those who you don’t want to deal with. Most industries have these clients, you know the ones I’m talking about. And by saying no to them you can say yes to your ideal customers.

Help Your Bottom Line With Tropic

Losing money from your business or bank account is a problem. I think most entrepreneurs have faced it. Subscriptions, services, and eating out too much, it doesn’t matter they all happen.

Tropicapp.io is a software company that gives clarity over every dollar spent in your business. It maximizes efficiency. It does this by giving you control over every dollar leaving the business.

With so much data in your face, you can make educated decisions. You can see where your financial struggles lie most. And with that much efficiency, you can focus much more of your time on making money.

Customer Service is Becoming More Important

We’ve all been on the other side of bad customer service and the difficulties you face when you can’t get good help. I have often had to speak with many companies. I work with them through their customer service lines. I have seen how bad it can be. I can't emphasize how important this is.

Customer service is the face of the company in many ways. When you need something you’re given a number to call and if that experience is bad, it hurts your brand.

Companies are noticing this. Many people believe AI will automate much of it. But, companies aren’t preparing for that actually.

More employees are being hired every year to work in customer service centers. It is growing faster than many other industries. AI can’t replace a human touch, not yet.

Personally, I want a human to speak with and fewer buttons to press when I call a company for something. The most frustrated I get when calling is when there is no clear answer on who can handle my needs and when 0 doesn’t work to get the operator.
